أدعية الحفظ
Islam teaches us to ask Allah for protection from those who would harm us, never to curse them. These duas hand the matter to Allah and leave the outcome with Him.
أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ
A'udhu bi kalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq
I seek refuge in Allah's perfect words from the harm of anything He has created.
Sahih Muslim reports that whoever says it on stopping at a place will not be harmed there until leaving. Sunan Abi Dawud and Sunan Ibn Majah encourage saying it in the evening.
اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِيهِمْ بِمَا شِئْتَ
Allahummak-finihim bima shi't
O Allah, protect me from them in whatever way You will.
The prayer of the believing young man in the story of the king and the boy, told by the Prophet ﷺ. He left the manner of his protection entirely to Allah.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَجْعَلُكَ فِي نُحُورِهِمْ وَنَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شُرُورِهِمْ
Allahumma inna naj'aluka fi nuhurihim wa na'udhu bika min shururihim
O Allah, we place You between us and them, and we seek Your protection from their harm.
The Prophet ﷺ said this when he feared a group of people.
رَبِّ ٱنصُرْنِى عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ
Rabbin-surni 'alal-qawmil-mufsidin
My Lord! Give me victory over folk who work corruption.
The prayer of Lut (Lot) against those spreading corruption. It asks for help against wrongdoing, not for harm to any person.
